Horse stiles (step-throughs) are access barriers designed to deter motorcyclists yet maintain access for horse riders.

They consist of one or two bars over which a horse can step and cyclists can carry their bicycles.

The bars are typically made with wood but in areas where vandalism is a concern, they can be made with galvanised metal.
