The site

St. Margaret's is a girls independent school, founded in 1749 it boasts a combination of historic buildings and modern facilities across it's 74 acre site.

The brief

We were commissioned to construct a wooden walkway over the school's pond in the grounds of the Preparatory Department for pond dipping.

The solution

We designed and built a walkway with green oak foundations and a pressure-treated wooden structure close to the water level to enable the school children to carry out pond-dipping.

The result

An interesting and exciting place to provide the girls with a beautiful area in which to enjoy pond dipping, art lessons or just to sit quietly in the peaceful natural surroundings.
